Boracay Island
Boracay Island is a beautiful small island surrounded by coral reefs and located one km north-west of Panay island in Visayas of the Philippines. It is the most popular beach in the country as the most visited tourist spot in the Philippines. Boracay is rated as one of the best beaches in the world. The beach is very safe. Boracay is such a great place that when you stay there, you would want to stay longer than you have too. Boracay Island, one of the most beautiful places in the world has been a prime kite-and windsurfing destination for 20 years. The last two of its 18 years have seen the inclusion of freestyle, speed trial and "hang time" events for kiting, with plans to expand in future. Boracay is one of the most popular tourist destination in the world in which finest and beautiful tropical white sand beaches can be found. There are many luxurious hotels and resorts in Boracay nowadays and are of international standards. Boracay Island has complete facilities and amenities offering convenience to foreign and local tourists. There are hotels and resorts equipped with full service facilities. Boracay Island is one of the best windsurfing locations in the Philippines. The winds blow fairly consistently all year but, of course, stronger during the rainy season. and crystal clear waters. Boracay is made up of three little communities:
Yapak in the north, Balabag in the middle, and Manoc-manoc in the south.
Hilly elevations up to 100 meters above sea level characterize Yapak and
Manoc-manoc.
