Outback Grill Davao: Good Food and Fun for All

Outback Grill Davao Grilled Specialties

Outback Grill Davao Grilled Specialties

Who does not love a good burger or hot-off-the grill barbecue? Outback Grill Davao has that and so much more! The jungle-themed restaurant along Bacaca Road is one-of-a-kind: it catches the eye with a plane’s tail jutting out of its roof. One would wonder why there’s a plane crash site in the middle of a residential area!

Outback Grill Davao Crash Pilot

I was unable to take a photo of the tail so here’s the pilot instead.

Outback Grill Davao is the perfect place to hang out in during weekends. First of all, it’s a restaurant with amazing food. And then there’s Outback Café, a mine-themed café right outside of Zoofari Kid’s Adventure: a jungle gym that’s a favorite among local kids.

The open-air dining area is refreshing.

Outback Grill Davao Animals

There are animal replicas scattered all over the dining area.

Outback Grill Davao Apes

Some guests have the honor of dining right beside these beauties.

Outback Grill’s specialties are barbecue, burgers and seafood. Their menu consists of all-time Filipino favorites like sisig, crispy pata and kinilaw (ceviche) plus more novelty menu items like the chicken tower and Goliath Burger, among others. Diners have a wide array of choices of combo meals, Barkada favorites (good for 4 people) and Family sets (good for 6 people); all these have their popular grilled items and signature special sauce.

Outback Grill Davao Outback Bounty

Outback Bounty is a collection of the restaurant’s bestsellers: tiger prawns, pork belly, squid and bangus, all grilled to perfection.

While waiting for the food to be served, kids can work up an appetite playing in Zoofari Kid’s Adventure, a huge jungle gym that the main attraction of the complex. It is a great place for kids to play in: huge slides, swim ball pools and obstacle courses are available.

Zoofari Kid’s Adventure is safe for kids: they employ a biometric system to register children and their parents/guardians to ensure security. The toys and other equipment within the gym are also sanitized daily so parents don’t have to worry about little ones touching icky stuff while at play.

Right outside Zoofari is Outback Café which is essentially just an extension of the main restaurant. They share the same menu but not the same theme. Outback Café takes you into a mine, with murals and décor reminiscent of an old mine with dark tunnels and rocky walls. Even the wait staff are dressed like jungle raiders!

Outback Cafe’s mine-themed interior is quite charming.

Outback Grill Davao Staff

I especially liked the staff’s attire.

Outback Café is the perfect place to eat dessert or have coffee while watching your kids play inside Zoofari. It’s also a great place to hold children’s parties and they have party packages that already include play time inside the jungle gym.

Outback Grill Davao is an excellent family –style restaurant that caters to everyone’s craving for good food and all-out fun. During weekend afternoons, they provide show-stopping entertainment through live bands, fire dances and competitions like Hotdog Eating challenge and the all-time favorite Goliath Burger Challenge.

Events can also be held in an upstairs area that overlooks the Zoofari Village.

Insider Tip: I recommend that you stop by Outback Grill Davao for lunch and dinner during weekends, especially if you have a lot of time on your hands. The lunch crowd is not that big but be sure to come early for dinner; the place gets pretty packed as early as 5PM because of the weekend shows. Outback Grill Davao is open from 12PM to 12AM daily.
