Nueva Vizcaya
Nueva Vizcaya is about 270 kilometers north of Manila located in the North-Central part of Luzon in Region II. N. Vizcaya is considered to be the gateway to the Cagayan Valley. It is an agricultural province and has yet to attract mainstream tourism. N. Vizcaya is composed of 15 municipalities with Bayombong as the Provincial Capital. It is best known for its carabao mangoes and other fruits like pineapple, kondol, and kamias. The Province Of N. Vizcaya used to be a territory of the vast Cagayan Valley Region, which was once an integral political unit with one governor. It is one of the five (5) Provinces of Region II and one of the four (4) Provinces of Cagayan Valley. N. Vizcaya is the southernmost province of the Cagayan Valley Region, separated from Nueva Ecija and the rest of Luzon southward by the Caraballo Mountains. With the creation of the province of Isabela in 1856, Bayombong, which is located in the northeast portion of N. Vizcaya became the capital town. N. Vizcaya has a domestic airport which caters to chattered flights at Bartangay Lantap, Bagabag, 20 kilometers from its capital.
