The City of New Horizon and Philippines’ first Capital City are among the popular tags incorporated when you say Quezon City. Rich in culture, history and lifestyle, the city has the most number of people. Located in Luzon Island, Quezon City is one of the major cities that make up Metro Manila. The largest city in Metro Manila, named after Commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon, father of Filipino Language.

Here in the city you will find number of government institutions like: Batasang Pambansa that houses the Philippine Congress, Bureau of Internal Revenue, National Housing Authority, and Commission on Higher Education, National Statistics officer and other government offices.   • People Power Monument – Located at the corner of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and White Plains Avenue, this monument was built to commemorate the 1986 revolution against Former President Ferdinand Marcos’ dictatorship.
  • Balintawak – the site for Unang Sigaw (first cry), marking the start of the First Philipine Revolution against the Spanish Colony.
  • San Pedro Bautista Church – Located at San Francisco Del Monte in Quezon City, is the second oldest church in the Philippines.
  • General Lawton Monument – This monument built in remembrance of the late general who was killed by the Katipuneros right after the intention to stop hostilities failed.

Quezon City Memorial Circle (QCMC) is a huge park located in Quezon City. It takes two kilometer distance for you to tour around the circle. Inside the circle are establishments that mostly cater food like Max’s Fried Chicken, Shakey’s Pizza. With the cooling ambiance of the circle, the place is good for walking and running activities. Family bonding time is great in QCMC as there is a playground, biking area and a small amusement park in this circle of fun!

Eastwood City

Eastwood City, developed by Megaworld Corporation, is a 16 hectare state of the art business, residential and commercial city. Shopping in Eastwood Mall is like walking in the park. In fact, Eastwood Mall is considered to be a smaller version of Singapore’s Orchard Road because of the pocket parks.

The mall’s interior is likened to Bangkok’s Siam Centre. It also houses various entertainment establishments of your choice. During night time, there are also bands playing some music in Eastwood City. Thus, you can spend drinking session or just bonding time with friends in Eastwood. Quezon City has two of the biggest malls in the country. These are SM City North Edsa and Trinoma Mall. In fact, these two malls are just facing each other. Thus, you can just cross the street to go to the other mall. This is definitely a must see for shopping lovers.

Developed by Ayala Land Inc., this shopping mall gave a considerable market competition with its neighbor mall, SM City North Edsa. The establishment of this mall gave way for new memories as it holds variety of exceptional event catering family values and activities. Trinoma’s architectural design was patterned to most of Ayala owned establishments in Makati City. Trinoma was built with sophisticated waterfeature and rooftop garden which makes the surrounding more romantic.

Want to have nice fun? Head to Tomas Morato and Timog Avenue. These streets are the centers of entertainment. You’ll find numerous restaurants that offer a wide range of dishes, prices and ambients. You can also get your coffee fix at Starbucks. There are 3 stores in Timog.
